Blue Shield 65 Plus Medicare Advantage Plans

Blue Shield 65 Plus Medicare Advantage HMO health plans offer all of the benefits covered under Original Medicare and more. Also, most plans include Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. To enroll in a plan, you must be eligible for Medicare Part A and continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium, unless otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third party.

Plans offer the basic benefits of Original Medicare plus so much more including:

  • $0 monthly plan premium
  • $0 or low doctor visit copays
  • $0 or low inpatient hospital visit copays
  • $0 or low outpatient surgery copays
  • Basic health club membership

Coverage through the Medicare Part D coverage gap with low copays for plan-approved generic drugs (partial coverage for preferred brand drugs in Los Angeles and Orange counties), basic dental, vision and hearing are included in most plans, upgrades available.
